Day 1 – Depart USA
Depart on your overnight flight for Vienna.
Day 2 – Arrive Vienna – Hotel Overnight in Vienna
For over 600 years, Vienna was the magnificent baroque capital city and the seat of the mighty Hapsburg Emperors, a heritage that has bestowed it with many dazzling palaces and monuments: the lavish Hofburg Palace, the impressive Vienna Opera House and the majestic Ringstrasse. The capital is also known as the “City of Music” for having once been the home of composers such as Beethoven, Schubert, Mozart and Johann Strauss. Maybe visit the Schoenbrunn Palace dressed for the season. Meet your Tour Director at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Check in at the hotel. This evening, visit a Vienna Christmas Market.
Overnight – Vienna
Day 3 – Vienna – Bratislava, Slovakia
Enjoy a Bratislava City Tour and walk through the city, see the home of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, the old city walls, the summer residence of the archbishop and the current residence of the president of Slovakia. Traverse through the restored old town, from Michael’s Gate, and admire other impressive sights such as the Primatial Palace and St. Martin’s Cathedral, former coronation cathedral for Hungarian Kings. Bratislava is a little jewel along the Danube with a wonderful Christmas Market. Travel back to Vienna & board the MS Amadeus Imperial for 6 Night Cruise Welcome Dinner Onboard – Ship docked overnight in Vienna. (B,D)

Enjoy a Morning Vienna City Tour – Afternoon Optional Tour to Schoenbrunn Palace Evening – “Sound of Vienna” Concert Optional (B,L,D)
Day 5 – Melk
Visit & tour the Melk Abbey, an Austrian Benedictine abbey and one of the world’s most famous monastic sites. The impressive Baroque abbey was built between 1702 and 1736. Later enjoy a mug of hot mulled wine onboard the ship. Afternoon Cruising towards Passau. (B,L,D)
Day 6 – Passau Or Salzburg Optional
Morning Passau – Passau at Leisure or Salzburg Optional Tour (full day).
Passau is one of Germany’s oldest cities and situated at the confluence of the Inn, Ilz & Danube Rivers. This beautiful and fascinating fairy-tale town features cobblestone streets and the famous Cathedral of St. Stephen.
Day 7 – Regensburg
Situated in Eastern Bavaria, Regensburg is one of Germany’s oldest towns, founded by the Romans in 179 A.D. Today it is a prosperous city with 3 universities and many landmarks dated to the Middle Ages. Enjoy a Regensburg Walking Tour through one of the most visited cities in Germany and its Medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and spend time at the colorful Christmas Market. This morning, a Regensburg Walking Tour and a visit to a Christmas Market is included. This evening, enjoy a Gala Farewell Dinner onboard the ship. (B,L,D)
Day 8 – Nuremberg
Enjoy Morning Cruising – Passage of the Continental Divide. This afternoon, enjoy an include Nuremberg City Tour and see the local sights. After your Nuremberg City Tour experience the world’s best known Christmas Market visited by more than 2 million people every year. Located inside this medieval city’s walls on the Market Square around the St. Lorenz Church, the Christmas Market is filled with specialty stalls and booths. Nuremberg’s street lamp posts are decorated with Christmas symbols, garlands of natural fir and colored lights. Try the famous Nuremberger Lebkuchen (gingerbread) and the original Nuremberger Wuerstle (small grilled pork sausages). (B,L,D)
